Green Point Consulting was founded in 1994 by its owner, Laura S. Brophy. Green Point Consulting provides environmental solutions to clients. With over 20 years of experience in applied plant ecology, Ms. Brophy uses accurate, efficient analysis of landscape information to provide targeted results for clients on projects such as:

Ms. Brophy is a certified Professional Wetland Scientist with over 20 years of professional experience in interpreting plant community and landscape patterns. She has gained this experience in a variety of settings, including Pacific Northwest coastal forests and estuaries, Willamette Valley wetlands, tropical rainforests, Midwestern native prairies, high-altitude and high desert scrub-shrub communities, and agricultural systems. As sole proprietor of Green Point Consulting, she has maintained a geographic focus on coastal Oregon, providing state leadership in managing the resources of this dynamic and highly valuable coastal zone.

Green Point Consulting uses a "systems approach" to answer environmental questions and solve environmental problems. To meet clients’ needs, Ms. Brophy uses data from remote sensing (Geographic Information Systems data, aerial photographs, soil surveys, and a variety of specialized maps) along with field data on plant communities, soils, hydrology, and other site and landscape characteristics. She then combines, interprets and analyzes the data to answer project-specific questions.

Scientific accuracy, high-quality data, and well-organized, user-friendly reports are the focus at Green Point Consulting. Once Ms. Brophy has gathered and summarized information, she puts it straight to use in assisting clients. Maps and reports produced by Green Point Consulting are in daily use at offices statewide.

On all projects, Ms. Brophy works closely with clients and seeks feedback during project implementation. This interactive approach allows rapid, efficient progress and provides precisely targeted solutions that will provide maximum benefit at the project's completion.
